Hello my friends!

It’s been a while and maybe you’re worried about me! Don’t worry, everything is fine. I became a father so I’ve been busy!

I’m between Europe and Congo now as we figured with my partner that it’s better for a kid to grow up in a safer environment. Even though there are many benefits from living in Congo with kids like help around the house and nannies at lower rates!

As anyone who left the Congo would know, some things are just way better overseas unfortunately: like healthcare, infrastructure, safety, etc… the list is long!

Anyways! How are you dear reader? What have you missed? What should I talk about that I haven’t said already?

The internet is full of information about the Congo. I was laughing the other day when I saw some videos on YouTube about foreigners coming to Congo and all they review are restaurants and supermarkets. But the “real” Congo they don’t mention 🤣

One guy even went to occupied Goma and said it was great but barely scratched the surface.

I don’t have much to say in this post.

Things in Congo are ok I guess. There is still a lot of misery and challenges to live a decent life! Traffic is still present. The rains and floods are back if you’re watching the news. The government is doing its thing, not sure what it is. Businesses and hotels keep popping up in Gombe. Restaurants are opening. There are some more super fancy ones in Kinshasa now. Everything is still super overpriced and crappy. Someone who can sell things at “normal” prices would make a lot of money!

I’ll be back in Congo soon. I’ve taken a break from it for a bit but I’ll be back. Maybe a bit of Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Kisangani, Matadi and why not Goma if things improve there. Maybe Trump will actually bring peace. We certainly hope so. A lot of papers signed but on the ground we still hear of deaths and conflicts.
